Dathan received his Bachlor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston in 2004, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In August, 2008 he completed his Master of Science degree in Digital Forensics at SHSU, with special emphasis on experimental techniques for using graphics processors as for cryptanalysis. He currently works for the Institute for the Study of Violent Groups at SHSU as lead software developer. Dathan has been lecturing for the Department of Computer Science since Fall, 2008, teaching undergraduate digital forensics and information assurance classes.
