Dr. Smith holds a B.S. in Computer Science, Texas A&M University, M.S. in Computer Science, Oklahoma State University, Ph.D. in Computer Science.

Prior to this he was a Lecturer at Texas A&M University and an Engineer at General Dynamics Corporation. He teaches courses in Operating Systems, Programming Languages, Data Structures, Real-Time Programming and Introductory Programming and maintains other interests in networks, database, GIS, and computer security.
